| Adobe ships InDesign, After Effects, InCopy updates
Adobe today released several updates to its software applications for professionals, including After Effects, InDesign, and InCopy. The Adobe After Effects CS3 Professional software 8.0.2 update provides Panasonic P2 format support, Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard compatibility fixes, Mac OpenGL support for supported video cards under Mac OS X v10.4.10 and v10.5, and other important fixes. The update for its professional video editing solution is 106.3MB and is available online. Adobe also noted that the Adobe InCopy CS3 5.02 update, for its provides key fixes in the areas of character alignment, undo and redo, text and fonts, dictionaries, import/export graphics, and others; the installer includes fixes from all previously released InCopy CS3 5.0.x updates (and previous InCopy CS3 5.0.x updates are no longer available separately.
Will Utah enchant Disney?
A state board is hoping Disney is enchanted enough with a Utah financial incentive that it grows its video-game development operations here. The Governor's Office of Economic Development Board on Friday approved a $5.25 million tax-rebate for Disney Interactive Studios Inc. if the company adds more than 500 jobs in Utah over the next 10 years to develop video games based on intellectual property that Disney has developed. Avalanche Software was founded in Utah in 1996 and was acquired by Disney in May 2005. Since then, the Utah operationhas produced games based on "Chicken Little," "Meet the Robinsons" and "Hannah Montana." Disney created a sister studio, Fall Line Studio, in Salt Lake City in 2006 to focus on games for the Nintendo Wii and DS market. Both Avalanche and Fall Line are wholly owned subsidiaries of Disney Interactive Studios, the interactive entertainment affiliate of The Walt Disney Co.

Scotland Yard, in turn, revealed that the "everyman" offering him items for sale was a suspect in one of the biggest and longest-running art-forgery cases in history. His name was Sean Greenhalgh, and along with his 84-year-old father, George, and his mother, Olive, 83, he was suspected of having spent almost two decades creating fake paintings, sculptures and artefacts in a council house garden shed. At a subsequent trial, it emerged that the Greenhalghes, who became known as the Bolton Forgers, had copied works by LS Lowry, Paul Gauguin and Barbara Hepworth. Among their victims had been Bolton Museum, which paid 440,000 for one of their phoney Egyptian statues (its experts believed the object dated from 1350BC). All three admitted to defrauding art institutions between 1989 and 2006, and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to conceal and transfer 410,392.
