| YouTube, Not Zombies, Indicates the Downfall of Society
If the apocalypse were to happen today, would you think to quickly grab your video camera in order to capture footage for YouTube? George A. Romero thinks so, and believes this insensitivity makes you worse than the zombies that inhabit his films. Diary of the Dead is the fifth film in Romero's zombie series that began with 1968's classic Night of the Living Dead. His work is less about gore than it is about critiquing the society of the time. His 1979 film Dawn of the Dead focused on the consumerist market that drove society. Day of the Dead, 1985, can be seen as examining post-nuclear holocaust survival, and his 2005 effort, Land of the Dead, is a blatant critique of American business and poverty. Diary of the Dead is stylistically different—it is shot from a first-person perspective (à la The Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield), depicting a group of teens recording the beginning of a zombie invasion.
Coaching changes, position battles keys to SEC spring practices
The Tigers are deep at running back, and whoever adapts the best to Franklin's spread offense will play the most. Brad Lester and Ben Tate were Auburn's top two rushers in 2007. The most versatile back is Mario Fannin, who caught a team-high five passes in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, including a touchdown. Florida Gators Spring practice starts: March 19 Spring game: April 12 What to watch: - The Gators need to find a running game outside of Heisman Trophy quarterback Tim Tebow. They hope Emmanuel Moody, a transfer from USC, can fill that void. Moody was the Trojans' second-leading rusher in 2006 before deciding to transfer. He has three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out last season. - Look for the Gators to spread the ball around even more this season on offense.

Business Travelers Can't Seem to Pack Light on Gadgets
Sony's PlayStation Portable video game system has a Web browser and video player. That's not enough for travelers such as Troy Steward, 39. The computer systems architect from Amherst, N.Y., carries multiple electronics, including two cellphones (a Motorola (MOT) RAZR for work and Treo for personal calls). He uses his PSP only for video games, and an Apple iPod for movies and music. "I (carry) whatever it takes," he says. Why folks lug around so much stuff: •Battery life and storage. Putting a movie on the PSP would take up too much space on its storage card, Steward says. That's why he needs the iPod. About 36 percent of smartphone users surveyed said battery life kept them from using the phone too often, Hughes says. •Interface and synchronization.
